Jake came round yesterday after school and we set about making paper planes

Rosehip syrup

Along with the sloes on the cliff, we've found loads of rosehips, so Meriel's been making rosehip syrup, which is gorgeous, not to mention good looking:

Waffles ahoy!

Cider pressing 2008

Another year, another cider pressing at the Foley's house. Really good weather and loads of people turned out. It almost seems like it's such an enjoyable event that the attendance is going to increase exponentially. Lovely food, good company, tonnes of apples and hard (ish) labour - perfect.

Sloe gin

It's Blackberry, apple and sloe season, so we've been hitting the cliffs on a regular basis to go foraging for stuff. Worryingly we seem to have collected alot more sloes than blackberries and seeing as sloes aren't much good for anything other than making gin. Perhaps more worrying is the fact that we have children making it. How immoral!

Nook and Cranny

The cats have taken to sleeping next to each other all the time (when they're not sleeping alone somewhere else). It's very sweet, perhaps it's because they're getting old.

White board

Meriel bought Cara a white board - it'll probably help save on paper. Cara draws alot, so it only seems fair that she has the resources available.

This one's a person "in" a butterfly.

Gran and Pampa

An end of summer visit for the Yates' wa gifted with good weather. Lovely day on Petit Bot and perfect conditions for dribble castles to be built and demolished by the tide. Captured, of course, by time lapse:
