L'Ancresse age illustrator
Good Friday - a walk up to the rifle range at L'Ancresse (no shooting today). Couldn't resist lining the kids up against their (approximate)ages and stocking up on birthday invitation materials.

But deperately wanting to walk...
Lots of sore heads at the moment. Cara is determined to stand up... but hasn't really got the balance yet. So she topples a lot. Getting better by the day though - she's just started 'cruising' which is apparently walking along things whilst holding on.

Now Cara's got chicken pox
Cara's had chicken pox for four days now, so it should be coming to an end soon.
Anyway, the sun's shining and we were on the beach for a walk and loving it - it's so much like summer (apart from the jackets & hats) and we can't wait for that.

Jonah's got chicken pox
We deliberately exposed Jonah to chicken pox about 18 days ago. Sure enough he started getting some spots yesterday morning. So far he seems entirely unaffected apart from the spots. We're working on keeping him distracted from the itching. Chocolate cake seemed like a good start. No sign of any spots on Cara yet.

Cara crawling
Cara has started crawling and is very happy that she can get wherever she wants to. She has 2 red patches on her knees because she is crawling so much.
Meriel & new kayak
After 4 months of weekly trips out kayaking I finally bought my own gear. I took it out once the day after it arrived. The weather has been very cold ever since so its had no more trips. Maybe next saturday.
Jonah on his bike
Jonah LOVES his bike. He got it last June for his birthday and wasn't in the least bit interested. We collected it from storage a month ago and he's learned to ride it really well - he can even use his brakes properly. We've been out for walks with him cycling and struggled to keep up with him!
Serious stuff
After lengthy discussions Jonah and Cara have decided that they need to lay down a few ground rules to keep mum and dad in line.
Jonah's very first steps
Miraculously Lenny was pointing a video camera at Jonah just as he decided to walk for the first time. He was about 13 months old.
Cara: A few hours old (19 May 2004)
Cara had an altogether much easier time. Only a 2 1/2 hour labour (with NO pain relief for mum!). We went home within 9 hours.
Jonah: A few hours old (6 June 2001)
Jonah had a bit of a rough start. But he received the best of care in UCH London.
Our wedding: August 2000 in Guernsey
We married in Guernsey in 2000 in Lenny's mum's house. The 'reception' was 3 days later after a honeymoon on Sark.
