She needs smaller boots, they're a bit loose and they fall off quite a lot. Not what you want on a cold beach.
She's saying alot more now, but more cruicially there are more words we can understand. Here's a selection:

At Petit Port, rock climbing and generally having a nice time, even though, as he admitted himself, it might be a bit cold for swimming.

My brother is a tiger
Jonah made a tiger mask at achool yesterday. All the kids came out to meet mums / dads wearing theirs - quite a sight!
The new and the old
We picked up our new car this morning. It's a Toyota Prius - a hybrid car. That means it runs off an electric motor whenever it can (low speeds and when not accelerating too fast). It charges up its own battery when it uses the petrol motor and when it brakes.
Our old faithful Peugeot is now pretending to be a van for various kayaking, kitesurfing types of activities.

Jo's homework
Jo's had to do some homework today, as you can see it's the letter "i". First of many, I'm afraid. It bodes well that he appears to be so studious.

Meriel Kayaking in Jersey
I've just been again for another weekend - but this picture is from April. This is what's known in the trade as 'rockhopping'.

Prius
We test drove a new car today, a Toyota Prius - Hybrid Petrol/electric. Reckon we'll get one in a couple of weeks. It's a really strange experience to drive because it only uses the electric motor until it gets to around 20-25 mph.
Needless to say it was awesome.

Wake-up boarding
After a late night working (yes that still happens sometimes) Meriel needed to wake up. Luckily it was perfect conditions for wake-up boarding - I mean wakeboarding.
Meriel's 1st ever time - and successfully up and running.
Lenny's 4th time - carving and jumping.
The conditions were perfect.
Wow! that was fun (sorry no photos of the actual wakeboarding!)

The proof
Even though you can't actually see the kite - this is a kind of proof that Lenny is up and running with his kitesurfing.

Return to Jaonnet
After a 5 year reluctant absence we returned to Jaonnet during Imogen and Georges stay. Even though it's our favourite beach it's not easy to get to with small children. Jonah has sadly still not been as he was at school.
We swam and snorkelled before returning home to prepare for an evening's kayaking.

The tractor watchers
It's certainly worth commenting (if only so tht we can look back and remember) that since Cara has been walking, Jo and her play together with increasing frequency. It's really nice.
Coffee break
We are back to Thursday coffe mornings after a short break, although there are hardly any coffee drinkers these days at these sorts of things. Perhaps children are sleeping longer and parents don't need the same stimuli to keep themselves going.
The cofee morning thing in itself isn't so worthy of note, but the picture is.

Le Voi de Travaille
Had a lovely long weekend visit from Helen, Kirk, Finlay and Alice. Jo and Fin played constantly for five days and were almost like one child who runs around itself and occasionally loses itself in contradictory circles.
